“You Can Be My Slave” is the story of the people and events that shaped my life.
The largest factors in who I am today happened while I was very young.
Though my life has been hugely disfunctional there have been lots of good memories as well.
My name is James. I was born on April 4th, 1977.
My mom was only 14 years old when she had me.
For the first year of my life I lived in a rat infested,
single wide trailer in the middle of the desert.
Eventually my biological father abandon my mom
and I.
My grandmother took me in and raised me for a time.
I was 2 years old when my first brother came along.
After my bio dad left my mom moved in with Dave.
Because of how close in proximity those two events
were nobody knew if Tony was Daves baby.
My mom married Dave.
There was a brief period of bliss and things were good for a while.
I wouldn't know it for years but my mom realized early on that
Dave was a bad person.
She tried to leave several times but didn't
escape until 2016
My story is a painful tale of "how not to."
