Yield 4 dozen cookies
Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Steps
1 Preheat oven to 350° F
2 In a large mixing bowl or stand mixer beat the butter, granualted sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
3 Add vanilla extract and eggs, mix well after each addition until ingredients are combined, do not overmix.
4 In a seperate bowl mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
5 Combine dry ingredients by gradually adding the flour mixture to the original mixing bowl.
6 After the flour mixture is completely combined gently stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips
7 Using a table spoon or small cookie scooper, scoop approximantly 1 tablespoon of rounded dough onto an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
For High Alittude Baking (Above 5,200 feet) increase flour to 2 1/2 cups and reduce both granulated sugar and brown sugar to 2/3 cup each. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
