Creating a bullet journal is very simple! All that you need to get started is a book and a writing utensil! 1.

If you are like me, you have a hard time keeping track of a journal. To keep your journal fun and easy to tend to, keep the contents nice and succinct. For example, instead of writing in your journal daily, do it weekly. You do not have to write pages and pages of stories (although, you can if you are up to it!). Instead, keep it brief using bullet points and quick thoughts.

2.

One way to keep a journal well organized is by numbering the pages of your journal. Save the first few pages for a table of contents so when there is something special or important you would like to look back upon, you are able to see what page it is on in your journal. It is also nice if you have something to use as a bookmark, so you can mark your most recent pages of your journal.

3.

Many people like to use their bullet journals as a means to keep track of scheduled events and/or tasks. A method that is good to use is to draw a box next to your tasks and then check them off when you've completed the day or task. Many people like to make monthly to-do lists. When they reach the end of the month, they reflect on their list, cross off the things they have accomplished, and if there are any left over, they write it down for next month. I've found that these methods are very pleasing to do to keep everything organized!

4.

Another easy, organizational tool is to create boxes to separate information. Personally, I have a hard time taking in information if it is written out like a text book! To fix this problem, create some borders or draw some pictures in between! Don't be afraid to get creative!

5.

Like I mentioned in the beginning, there is no real right or wrong way to make a bullet journal. The directions that I've given you are completely optional! Feel free to make any adjustments and/or improvements. Most of all, have fun with your journal!
