THE THREE LITTLE PIGS

ONCE UPON A TIME, there were three little pig brothers that left their mother's house to make a life on their own. The first little pig brother was lazy and quickly built his house out straw. The second little pig was more hardworking than his first brother, but was still a bit lazy so he built his house out of the sticks that he found upon the ground in a very quick fashion. The third little pig decided to put lots of effort into his house and spent many days making his house of stone brick. While the third brother spent his days working on his house, his brothers goofed off and played in the field that they built their houses in.

One day, a big bad wolf found the three pigs' houses. His stomach growled at the thought of a possible bacon dinner and so he approached the straw house first.

The big bad wolf arrived at the entrance of the first pig's straw house and declared "LITTLE PIG! LITTLE PIG! LET ME COME IN!" The pig was scared by the wolf's intimidating size and shouted back, "No! no! no! Not by the hairs on my chinny chin chin!

The wolf snarled and said, "THEN I'LL HUFF AND I'LL PUFF AND I'LL BLOW YOUR HOUSE DOWN!" The big bad wolf puffed up his chest and blew the straw house away, along with the first pig! Nothing remained of the straw house.

Before the big bad wolf could snatch up the first brother, the pig quickly ran to the second brother's stick house and hid there. The wolf made his way over to the stick house and once again shouted, " LITTLE PIGS! LITTLE PIGS! LET ME COME IN!" Both pigs were very frightened by the big bad wolf and replied, "No! No! No! Not by the hairs on our chinny chin chins!"

Frustrated, the wolf retorted, "THEN I'LL HUFF AND I'LL PUFF AND I'LL BLOW YOUR HOUSE DOWN!" The wolf inhaled all the air that he could and blew out from his mouth a strong gust of wind that blew away the stick house with both pigs being flung away! Only scattered remained of the house.

The two brothers landed a short distance away from their last brother's brick house. They quickly ran in and told the third brother of the big bad wolf. The third brother smiled confidently and said, "We will be safe within these walls." The angry big bad wolf walked up to the brick house, confident in his abilities to blow down this last house and get his bacon dinner. He once more shouted, " LITTLE PIGS! LITTLE PIGS! LET ME COME IN!" The pigs said back, "No! No! No! Not by the hairs on our chinny chin chins!"

The big bad wolf growled, "THEN I'LL HUFF AND I'LL PUFF AND I'LL BLOW YOUR HOUSE DOWN!" The wolf breathed in and blew a large gust of wind, but the house still stood. Surprised, the wolf tried again and again, but house would not fall.

The big bad wolf felt defeated, but then he saw at the very top of the brick house was a chimney. He smiled and began to climb the house with the intent of climbing down the chimney and getting the pigs inside. The two pig brothers that had lost their houses took notice of this and began to panic, but the third brother quickly took some wood and lit a fire in the fireplace.

As the wolf attempted to go down the chimney, his tails brushed up against the flames and caught on fire. The big bad wolf instantly regretted his life choices and ran back up the chimney faster than he came down it. He jumped off the roof and ran away into the distance, his tail ablaze. The pigs exited the house seeing their handiwork and celebrated that today they would not become someone else's dinner. The big bad wolf never came back and the three little pigs lived happily ever after.
