About My Trip

In January 2019, my mother and I visited our family in the Philippines. Our family took us all around to see all kinds of beautiful sites. For my narrative site, I wanted to share the highlights of my trip. We hiked to Kagutungan Falls, which is located a few miles from my grandmother’s house in Santa Cruz, Ilocos Sur.

We took a boat ride around the Hundred Islands in Alaminos City, Pangasinan. We visited a shallow reef surrounding Silaqui Island in Bolinao, where the University of the Philippines Marine Science Institute that nurse and protects thousands of giant clams, that are the biggest in the world. This shallow reef also had many huge colorful starfish. My family and I had a relaxing lunch on a river cruise along the Balingasay River in Pangasinan. Everywhere we went I took my camera with me to capture the vibrant life I saw there.
