The wind howled and the rain poured
Cars speed by and you feel ignored
The day grew gloomy and dark
As you passed by the old park
Outside of the city you felt so alone
You notice a place you thought you had known
Out in the trees your mind starts to wander
Remembering a place you once lived you begin to ponder
You remember this place that you used to belong
Knowing now that you don't want to prolong
Those memories will last forever
You know you must endeavor
Leaving this place you start to wonder
Just where you'll be when it all goes under
You break through the fence feeling free at last
Remembering all of the time that has past
You now find yourself at two roads
One is smooth and the other corrodes
You know the smooth road leads where you call home
But you begin to imagine places you could roam
