James Jean

James Jean is an artist who is well known for creating dreamy ephemereal artworks. He was born in Taiwan and raised in the United States of America where he graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

He is a prolific creator having drawn art for many people and companies. His work includes covers for magazines, comics, films, cds, and galleries. James has designed for the fashion brand Prada multiple times which was used for their garments and advertisements. He has published numerous art books which include designs from his sketchbooks and art photographed from galleries and exhibitions. James has also won many awards and the Lotte Museum of Art in Seoul Korea did a feature on his art, showcasing his works which included hundreds and hundreds of his pieces.

James Jean is mainly a traditional artist, who works in various mediums and is well known for his pencil sketches and acrylic and oil paintings. His distinct style is instantly recognizable and can be described as dreamscapes filled with flowers, creatures, and humans. His artwork is vibrant and colorful and gives a clear and detailed view of what he is trying to portray.

James Jean is one of my favorite modern artists, his illustrations and designs always keep me intrigued and I find myslef still awed by pieces of his that I have seen multiple times.
