This is where Frodo and Sam arrive at the Black Gate of Mordor, or near Mt. Ruapheu.
Mt.Ruapheu / Mt.Doom and Mordor
The park and its large mountain provide the setting for Mt. Doom and Mordor. Unlike Mordor, the surrounding park is great for skiing and hiking.
