Strawberries are originally from the Northern and Southern hemispheres. They've been around for thousands of years, since ancient times. The first place they started being sold at was in London. Many marketplaces sold them and they weren't just snacks but it represented something more to the people of London. Due to its shape and color they saw it as a symbol of love. It wasn't until 1780 that the strawberries were developed here in the United States. Although these were considered hybrids due to the use of refrigeration to grow them.
They're popular for various reasons which include their color, taste, shape, health benefits and more. They have a vibrant red color that draws the eye immediatly. When they hold they're vibrant red color they're the sweetest. Although, they sometimes tend to be green and not so sweet. Anyhow, they hold many nutritious benefits like antioxidants, fiber, and high vitamin C.
