Sinclair Estate Vineyards is a small family owned winery in Walla Walla, Washington producing premium quality wines using the finest grapes sourced from the finest sustainable vineyards in the Walla Walla and Columbia Valleys. Our winemaker, Amy Wampfler combines Old World winemaking techniques with New World monitoring technology to produce wines of distinction - aged in French Oak barrels.
Our winery and tasting room are located in downtown Walla Walla in the historic Whitehouse-Crawford building. Restored, renovated and listed on the National Historic Register, the century old brick walls now house a state of the art production winery. Our wines age under temperature and humidity control in the skylit barrel room surrounded by massive beams and rafters. Our focus has always been Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux varietal reds, complemented by limited production of Alsation varietal white wines. We are fortunate to work with fruit from the Northwest's finest sites, striving to produce wines that reflect the terroir of these sites with intense structure and pure varietal fruit character capable of graceful ageing.
Located in the Walla Walla Valley, Balboa Winery crafts elegant wines. Balboa was founded in 2005. Working hand-in-hand with the grape grower, we strive to create exceptional wines that are true to the varietal, terroir and vintage. Great wine should be easy and fun to drink. Out of that basic philosophy Balboa blossomed and set out to create affordable, accessible wines that also provide a total sensory experience. Fantastic, affordable wines are complimented by art inspired labels making them perfect for all occasions. Balboa offers a variety of wines, each one great with food or on its own.
Russell Creek is one of the oldest wineries in the Walla Walla Valley. Russell Creek became a bonded winery in 1998 as the 12th winery in the Valley. We boast several awards of limited production wines. Throughout our history, one thing’s remained the same, the commitment to full flavored, casually elegant wines.
14 Hands wines are inspired by the unbridled spirit of the wild horses that once freely roamed eastern Washington. Measuring just fourteen hands tall — a “hand” equivalent to the width of one’s palm — these tenacious little horses would travel down from the hills every day to drink from the mighty Columbia River and graze along the riverbank, then retreat back to cool off at night. Washington’s wild horses have become living symbols of the pioneer spirit of the American West.
We have combined Old World winemaking traditions with New World innovation. In fact, Chateau Ste. Michelle is one of the few premium wineries in the world with two state-of-the-art wineries, one for red and one for white. The whites are made at the Chateau in Woodinville, WA, while the reds are made at our Canoe Ridge Estate winery in Eastern Washington.
For more than 50 years, Columbia Winery has embodied the spirit of Washington’s unique and exceptional vineyard sites, rich diversity and warm, welcoming character. Founded in 1962 by a visionary group of 10 friends, six of whom were University of Washington professors, Columbia Winery is the result of the unrelenting curiosity and deep commitment to proving the potential of winegrowing in the Columbia Valley, located at the same latitude as Europe’s best winegrowing regions.
Several companies provided guided winery tours as well as transportation to the different wine-growing regions in Washington state. Some of the wineries also provide their own guided tours of their winery facility - contact the wineries for details.
