Is joy happiness?

I have learned that happiness doesn't last; it is conditional.
Joy, true joy, joy that comes from Jesus lasts forever.
I have also learned:
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4

Find joy in the simple things of this life.
Don't overcomplicate things.
It is simple.
Love Jesus.
You will find true love, joy, and peace.
