Hitting the Road

Las Vegas Bryce Canyon

Hannah, our dog, Zion, and I have a 4 hour and 43 minute trip via the I-15 to the SR-9 ahead of us!

Gas Station Treats

We stop at a Love's to fill up on gas and I grab myself a Red Bull and some ranch sunflower seeds to keep me going.

The Music Playlist

The 5 hour playlist that gets us from Vegas to Bryce Canyon without dozing off has been underway!

Zion National Park Detour

Since we are driving through Springdale, it was essential that we stop to take Zion's picture in front of the Zion National Park sign.

Arriving to Bryce

Afer the long drive, we are finally arriving to the park!

We decide to pull over and take a picture infront of the sign.

Setting Up Camp

Make Ourselves At Home

Bryce Canyon's campgrounds are first-come, first-serve, but luckily, there were still plenty of options.

We chose a spot that was relatively flat next to group of four people playing spikeball.

Watching the Stars

Bryce Canyon is deemed a Gold Tier International Dark Sky Park with 360 degree views of the night sky.

Tonight, we stargaze from our campsite while sipping on a glass of wine.

We can hear the wind blowing through the trees. Laughter and fire cracking from a few campsites down the road.

Hiking the Navajo Loop

We wake up early the next morning to hike one of the most iconic hikes in Bryce Canyon: the Navajo Loop.

Scroll through HDregarde's video to see some of the incredible scenery from the Navajo Loop hike!

The Incredible Wall Street

As we descend into the canyon, the sun begins to rise.

Taking the Queen's Garden Detour

Hannah and I take a breather here to have a snack.
The Queen towers over her garden, overseeing the critters who live here and the visitors who are hiking through.

From the end of our detour, we can see the towering Thor's Hammer, which motivates us to finish the last stretch of the hike.

Lunch at the Top of the Hike

We finally finish the hike!

Hannah packed us some simple turkey sandwiches, so we scarf those down before heading back to the campsite!

Making Friends Around the Campfire

We walk Zion around the campground to get some of her crazy out.

While doing this, we meet Jo and Alex, two of our campsite neighbors.

They invite us to have dinner with them and their other three people who are traveling with them.

We find out that Jordan and Mo are from Newport, Rhode Island, a place that Hannah and I have wanted to visit.

Mo introduces us to Chris, his brother, and Carter and Dylan, a couple who were also on the Navajo Loop hike today!

We hangout with the group until it gets dark, then head back to our site to get to bed since we have an early morning tomorrow!

Proposal at Sunrise Point

Our alarms are going off at 4am.

This morning, we are going to watch the sunrise at Sunrise Point!

Just as the sun peaks over the mountains, I turn to Hannah.

She has something in her hand, and I know it's time to grab the box.

I reach into my camera bag, grab the box, open it, and turn back to Hannah.

When I look back to Hannah, I see an open ring box in her hands, too.

Scenic Drive

As our roadtrip nears its end, we pop some champagne back at our campsite to celebrate our engagement!

We pack up and get ready to drive the scenic route one last time through the park.

We end at Inspiration Point where we get to look out over the canyon that looks like it's never ending.

We climb back into the car, look to each other and smile.

Time to head home.

But can't wait to come back.
