Werewolf By: Cullen Thomas

To move through the story, simply scroll down.

Walking alone on a cold foggy night.

Nothing around. Not a person in sight.

Sky black as sin. Moon only light.

To your surprise, midnight delight.

To them you’re a monster.

To me you’re just right...

The End

Thank you for viewing my story. Originally, I set out to create an electronic literature piece. Each page was going to be a page in the story with a link to the next page. However, I was introduced to skrollr. Skrollr is a plugin for websites allowing the designer to take advantage of parallax scrolling. After viewing a couple of skrollr projects, I knew this was what I wanted to do for my project. My inspiration was a comic titled "Sin City". I wanted something black and white with only minor details in color so that they would pop. After some time reading the documentation and doing the Walking Dead tutorial, I was ready to go. Learning the right data positions for the divs was pretty tedious. I had to play around with each position for quite some time to get things to flow how I envisioned. The biggest challenge I face was getting the end scene to fade to black. I couldn't figure it out for some reason. Finally, I realized I simply needed to create a new div, give it a black background, and change the opacity during each appropriate data point. In the end, I am extremely happy with the final result. The project was an excellent learning experience for me. This project was a blast to make.
