The Election of 1912 is the first hypertext pubished by Eastgate Systems, Inc. and the first to be produced with the company's own authoring system, Hypergate. Subtitled A Hypertext Study of the Progressive Era, it combines non-linear narrative with robust simulations set within a historical background of one the most fascinating U.S. elections. The simulations possess elements of an asset management game and has a role-playing flavour to it.
