Created by researchers from the Creative Writing subject group at the North-West University and visually impaired participants, the Byderhand Pioneer Project involves three locative narrative installations—the Garden Verses, the Pioneer Stories, and the Karoo Gardens Verses— that use QR Codes accessed via a mobile device that provides digital narratives about the history and culture of these sites to the visually impaired.
