The Basement

You remembered that Mary Chang gave you the key to Mr. Chang's basement before leaving last week. Why did she want you to check the basement instead of checking it herself? You start to grow suspicious of Mary Chang..


You opened the door to Mr. Chang's basement. It is pitch black inside without any traces of light. You try to find the light switch without walking down the stairs because it was too dark. There seem to be no light switch or any working light bulbs down there. You decided to light a candle and went inside..
You inspect the dark interior of the basement for any clues leading up to Mr. Chang's death. You found a locked box with a keyhole similar to the one on the door leading into Mr. Chang's basement. You inserted the key, and the box opened itself to reveal a will left by Mr. Chang.


You opened the paper containing Mr. Chang's will. Mr. Chang stated that on his passing, all of his assets will be split across his family evenly. You noticed that there is no mention of Mary Chang anywhere in his will. You came back up the stairs and saw that the front door to Mr. Chang's house was wide open. You know that you closed the door on the way in. SOMETHING IS WRONG. Perhap someone was watching you the whole time? You left Mr. Chang's house feeling uneasy that night...
