The People of Flint

The people of Flint are paying the price with their
lives
For not having the political power or the capital
to control the corrupted candidates like
the oligarchs who sucks the wealth
out of cities

Many of Flint's restless residents grow
weary as they watch friends and family die
and the deceased derelict homes are
overtaken by flora and folige
the people of Flint simply wish to sup on
and bathe in the clean
streams that all are entitled to

The mass media and maniacal politicians
ignore the lead the bacteria infested water
the people of Flint partake of
They pay no mind to the cancer
killing many of Flint's residents
and the toxins taking the minds of
children who can no longer count past ten
The underlings of the unimpeachable
United corporations of America said
it was safe to sip from the streams which
only means do the opposite
don't drink the water
