Compass Coffee is the veteran in this list. They have been a staple of Vancouver for years. If you are looking for a space to study or meet up then Compass is the shop for you. They have the most available seating of any of the other shops, although it can fill up on a weekend. They also roast their beans here in town to varying degrees of quality.

Relevant Coffee

Relevant is only a handful of years old but has rapidly become the provider of the highest quality coffee in the city. While seating is extremely limited, the quality of both drinks and beans is phenominal.

Kafiex is the new kid on the block. If you are looking for the almost stereotypical west coast coffee experience, Kafiex is for you. They bring the vibe of a shop from a larger city like Seattle to the smaller town of Vancouver. The coffee is fantastic and the view of downtown is lovely

Thatchers Coffee

Ah Thatchers, the home of the 50 some year-old real estate investor. If you are looking for a shop with more of a business vibe, then Thatchers is perfect. They are only one of two shops that serves coffee roasted in Portland. The baristas are all great and the end cups are beautiful and consistent.

Boomerang Bistro

After its makeover, Boomerang has carved itself a unique nice in the Vancouver market. With their late hours, bar, and event space, Boomerang has many things that none of the other shops have. They serve coffee from Proud Mary's, a roastery down in Portland. The atmosphere is quieter and peaceful.
