Paul Bogaert is a poet (born 1968).  He lives near

Brussels in the Dutch speaking part of Belgium. For

his last collection (the Slalom soft) he received,

among others, the Culture Prize for Poetry 2011.

“You’re Lying and You Filter” is a dictation

exercise, young women in an educational black and

white setting. Sentences read by a male voice at

dictation speed. The reaction of the girl in focus

colors the content.
