Steve Tomasula

 

Steve Tomasula is the author of the image-text novels The Book of Portraiture and VAS: An Opera in Flatland, the acclaimed novel of the biotech revolution.  He is also the author of the novels IN & OZ, and most recently, TOC: A New-Media Novel, which received the Mary Shelly Award for Excellence in Fiction, and the Gold Medal, Best Book of the Year (Multimedia), in the eLit Awards. He has contributed fiction and essays to a wide variety of publications, including Bomb, McSweeney’s, and The Iowa Review, where he received the Iowa Prize for the most distinguished work published in any genre. His writings on literature, genetic and body art have also been widely published. A Howard Fellow for 2011-12, he lives in Chicago,
