Peanut buttersoup is one of the rich, creamy and mouthwatering dishes in Senegambia. It is said to be associated with the Mandinka ethnic group in the Gambia. Peanut buttersoup is a famous dish because of its simple ingredients that mainly consists of creamy peanut butter, tomato paste, beef, chicken or fish with a dash of spices that can be found anywhere in the world. It is even known to be an antioxidant and very effective in fighting cancer causing cells.

Benachin

Benachin is one of the most known dishes in Senegambia. It's crispy texture, colorfulness and heavenly taste is what draws everyone to it. The name Benachin means 'one pot'. It signifies the fact that it was made in one cooking pot. It is commonly called Jollof in other parts of the world and rightly so because the dish is said to be originated from the Wollofs, an ethnic group who come from Jollof. Jollof is in SeneGambia. Benachin mainly consists of oil, beef, chicken or fish, veggies, rice and spices to make it tasty.
