Soare

Light

Soare is the most opposing figure within the godly realm. Their slender frame is accompanied by a cacophony of arms traveling down their side and back. Their face is no better- a slowly spinning collection of hands holding a star on the inside. This combined with Soare’s stature, towering above the rest of the gods, makes him one that’s heavily revered. Soare always glows brightly, but when the hands open to reveal the star inside, it’s enough to blind any mortal or god.

Soare, alongside Terra and Juxos, is one of the first gods to inhabit the godly realm. Without Soare’s powers, the godly realm would be pitch black, but he has illuminated the world and brought hospitality to it. In that hospitality, he aimed to create beings in his nature: the Aasimar. Sarlee, the goddess of the moon, thought herself deserving to be Soare’s partner, to cover the world in an eclipse as a symbol of their harmony. But, when Soare instead married Kaedrie, Sarlee placed the curse upon the Aasimar: that the prophetic visions they would be born with from Soare’s essence could only be seen as they slept.

Soare is a heavily worshipped god. From farmers hoping for sunny days to mercenaries wishing for a vision, Soare is powerful and their domains versatile. Many areas have churches to Soare (big or small). Prayer to Soare is typically spoken word, but doing prayer at night or indoors will almost guarantee no result- rather, you need to face the sun to receive any blessings. His symbol is an eight pointed star.
