National Honor Society

By the end of my Freshman year of high school I had been accepted into the National Honor Society. Through my next three years of high school I was a part of the NHS.
I was put into the Environment and School committees within the club throughout my time there. When I was in the Environment committee, we mainly scheduled events where we went to parks or around our own school, picking up garbage. When I was in the School committee, we worked on little events for students and made gifts for staff during specific holidays.

One of my first big events I helped with in NHS was being an usher for the school theater. I held doors and ripped tickets for people. The theater teacher had me in her current class too, so I got to sit and watch the show when I was not needed to hold doors.
Another event I helped with was in the 2019 talent show. I ushered in the front, and then when the show began I helped backstage, stating who was on stage, who needs to be backstage, and who will be next after. I also tried to encourage performers to stay calm and drink the water provided. I also ushered for an event called "Project Cinderella", where dresses are donated to girls who need ones for the upcoming homecoming and prom.
