A very brief history of Destiny

Destiny is a first person shooter (FPS) developed by studio Bungie, who previously made the popular game Halo, and was originally released in september of 2014. The game had started with very little amount of story which was not well reviewed but soon began to expand the story more and more which hooked many into its enthrawling world. The game takes place in the distant future of Earth. Where a mysteries being or machine appeared in our solar system that began to terraform serval moons and planets. It was called the Travler, the size of a small moon that had the power of the light. Power that gave it control over life and creation. This traveler brought in a "Golden Age" for humanity. With us colonising several planets and moons in our system and trippling our lifespan. However, it couldn't last forever.

Soon an ancient enemy of the Traveler, the Darkness, came to follow it and brought about a "collapse" of our golden age. Humanity was brought to the brink of extenction but in its dying breath, the Traveler created the Ghosts. Small sentient beings of light that could reasurect the dead, these "Risen" were imbued with the power of the light and would fight to protect humanity as immortal soldiers. That is, as long as their Ghost was still with them. The Risen would soon be known as "Guardians", protectors of the light and humanity froms its enemies. Enemies which included several races known as The Fallen, Hive, Cabal, and the Vex. All hellbent on finding or capturing the traveler for their own selfish reasons. As time went on, there was more content and story added to the game in the form of expansions or DLC. (The name and date of releases found below.)

With each realease, the story and world of Destiny evolved with more understanding or twists. From more about what the darkness and light are and thir role in the universe to past enemies turned into allies. The universe continues to change as we near the end of this 10 year long saga of the Light vs Dark, where we will stop our ancient enemy from destroying the universe as we know it.
