King Triton and Queen Athena have 7 daughters, with names all starting with A. Their names from left to right in the image are Adella, Arista, Ariel, Attina, Andrina, Alana, and Aquata. The oldest daughter is Attina, while the youngest is Ariel. This is adressed in The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Begginningand the begging of The Little Mermaid.

Later on in the movie in the movie The Little Mermaid, Ariel (the youngest daughter) is then married to Prince Eric and he is then added to the family. Continuing to the movie The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea, It is shown that Ariel has a daughter named Melody, which is then the granddaughter of King Triton and Queen Athena.
