Great Job!

You helped pack the supplies for the Corps of Discovery. Now the journey can begin.

Lewis and Clark carefully chose what to pack for their 1804 expedition because they would be traveling thousands of miles into unknown land. They brought essential items like compasses and maps for navigation, journals to record their discoveries, and dried foods such as jerky and pemmican that would last a long time. They also carried tools and weapons like muskets and knives for hunting and protection, as well as tents and clothing for shelter. In addition, they packed trade goods like beads and cloth to build relationships with Native American tribes. Every item had to be useful for survival, since space and weight were limited.
