Hello! I am sure your familair with local crypids like bigfoot, the thunder bird, or even the giant saltwater crustaceans? If not I'm here to help explain what they are and whether or not you should approach them.
What is a cryptid?
A cryptid is an animal that people have claimed to exist but no offical scientific proof has been established to confirm its existence.
Where to find them?
Cryptids can be found just about anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. Most can be found in the large forest wilderness that the Northwest is known for. Some cryptids can be dangerous so do proceed with caution if you want to go find any.
Most popular cryptids of the Pacific Northwest
- Big foot/Sasquatch: It's basically like a lost primate that is said to be highly intelligent and very skillful at hiding.
- Thunderbird: These are birds are said to be so big that when they flap their wings, thunder strikes.
- Gumberoo: This is a gaint bear without any fur but instead has tough leathery skin that is said to be bulletproof.
- Giant Saltwater Crustaceans: These are colossal sized crabs that live near Wallowa Lake.
- Amhuluk: A cultral story about a dragon thats said to reside in a lake.
- Black-Eyed Children: Which are children with all black eyes that make a person feel dread and despair.
