Indie games are simply independent video games which are made by a small team or a single developer. They are often quite experimental and explorative, with unique gameplay characteristics. Another couple factors that come into play when considering what makes an indie game is the budget and effort that goes into them. These games are created on a small budget in comparison to larger companies as their supplies and team are quite limited. These games are often handled with special care as it is clear how much effort and love goes into each individual game.

INDIE GAMES:
Indie games are such a crucial part of the gaming world. Whether it's through the storyline or the inspiration that comes along with it, indie games are both full of and encourage creativity. I have such a special place in my heart for these games; as an artist, I view them as such an incredible form of art. These games are quite personalized as they are made by a single creator or small team. While many people would know a popular indie game from its name, the efforts behind them are not as appreciated as they should be. Many of these games have personally inspired me to explore my artistic ability and create art like I hadn't before! I feel as if these games keep my creativity fresh even while I'm feeling stumped or experiencing art block. One thing I've understood more about myself overtime is my appreciation for small details and being able to see the care put into something. These games are not only interesting and enjoyable, but they also discuss deeper real life scenarios such as life and death, friendship, family, loss, emotions, and the list goes on. They can truly have a lasting effect on you as a person. There have been games that stick with me for years purely because of how impactful they are. Each game is so unique and I would love to go more into how important these games truly are.
