Restoring a pioneering journal for access by a contemporary audience

trAce Online Writing Centre's frAme Journal

trAce Online Writing Centre was a community founded by Sue Thomas at Nottingham Trace University, UK. From 1995-2005 it hosted conferences, online forums, competition, exhibitions, and online courses and published journals, books, and catalogs. Its pioneering frAme journal was one of the first to appear on the web and published some of the most important digital literary artists of the time. In an effort to maintain site, which had been shuttered in the early-2010s, we re-created a website and restored the journal, issues, and works for access by a contemporary audience.
