ABOUT THE BURROWER™

Welcome to the Burrower™, a zany, all-purpose text mutilation device based on the William S. Burroughs "cut-up" technique. (For those not familiar with his work, Burroughs would often take chunks of text, physically cut them up with scissors, and randomly juxtapose the fragments to produce new texts. He asserts that in this way, new information, inherent in language but blocked from expression by our traditional composing strategies could manifest itself.
