To date, no documentation for this 'earliest interpretation' has been found to support such an assertion — a gap which calls into question not only the authenticity of the legomenon, but its attribution to the Legomenist whose elucidations elsewhere have always been regarded as of unimpeachable authority. Is it possible there has been more than one Legomenist? if so, which of the extant legomena can now be regarded as trustworthy, and how shall they be distinguished from those that are not? This question has yet to be taken up by any known interpreter of the Archives...
