The Barreleye fish are normally found around the tropical or temperate waters of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans. The Vampire Squid is a small cephalopod found throughout temperate and tropical oceans in extreme deep sea conditions. The Vampire Squid are found at depths between 300 and 6,000 feet, and live in the oxygen minimum layer of the ocean where virtually no light penetrates.

The Fangtooth Fish get their name from their teeth, which can reach 16 cm long, they are also found throughout the world in temperate and tropical ocean regions. The Fangtooth Fish get up to 6 inches long, are commonly seen beween 600 and 6,500 feet, but have been observed as deep as 16,000 feet.

Pacific Viperfish are one of the most unusual looking fish in the deep sea, but also one of the most popular, and well-known. They are found in tropical and temperate waters throughtout the world at depths up to 9,000 feet. The Viperfish can grow to about 11 or 12 inches in length, with a usually dark silver blue in color. The unusually large teeth of the viperfish help it grab onto its prey as it hunts in the darkness.
