Each clickable option has a brief definition of the location and some pictures to go along with it. The man on the icon is Chief Joseph who was the leader of the Wal-lam-wat-kain band of Nez Perce, a Native American tribe. Please enjoy!
Wallowa
Wallowa is a small town which I vist every year. My grandma lives here and my family enjoys spending time with her over the summer. There are many outdoor activities to do such as hike up tick mountain, walk to the indian reserve, or raft down Wallowa lake. I've visited this beautiful town every summer since I was little and I don't plan to stop anytime soon.
Lostine
If you drive past Wallowa and follow the road surrounded by snow coverd mountains, you will find yourself in Lostine. Lostine is a even smaller town that has a population of around 200 people. In the pictures, will see a small joint called the Blue Banana. The Bue Banana has the greates smoothie I've ever had, The cotton candy smoothie. It never gets old. There's a narrow bumby road that can take you to the Lostine river. There are many places to camp and enjoy the cold mountain water.
Enterprize
Enterprize is the largest town in the county. There are many good resturants in Enterprize such as La Laguna and Red Rooster Cafe. This town is also home to the Book Loft. This is a small book store located near the town hall. I've had many good memories buying books here.
Joseph
Joseph is home to many iconic landmarks of Wallowa county. One of them is the Arroehead Choclate which has the best chocolate I've ever tasted in my life. Joseph is home to the grave of Cheif Joseph as well. It's nice to go take a look at it every once in a while.
Wallowa Lake
Driving past Jospeh even more will take you to the grand jewel of Wallowa county, Wallowa Lake. The lake is awlays sparkling and freezing because the water is straight from the mountains. There is a tram that is open during the summer that will take anyone to the top of Mt.Howard. The top of the mountain has many trails that lead to stunning views. There is a trail the leads to a viewpoint overlooking Wallowa county. My favorite trails leads to a viewpoint of the Seven Devil mountains located in Idaho. That's right, you can see Idaho from the viewpoint. There is a cool minigolf place near the tram as well.
