Preheat your oven to 325°F.
In a small bowl combine the flour, cinnamon, baking soda and baking powder. In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream the butter until smooth. Add the sugar and mix.
Once well mixed add the maple syrup and vanilla. Once combined add the eggs, one at a time.
Add half of the flour mixture. After it is mixed well add the sour cream.
Finally add the last half of the flour mixture and mix.
Place the batter into the bundt cake pan. I’d recommend filling it up about ¾ full.
Bake for 20-30 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test.
While the cakes are baking it is time to make the frosting. This is the easy part.
Place the cream cheese in a bowl and mix until softened. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined. When the cakes have completely cooled smother the top portion of the cake with frosting.
Sweet Rolls, like many pastries in Tamriel, are sold in local town markets and inns. Most are covered with a light cream cheese frosting or glaze, which adds to the sweetness of the pastry.
It is not uncommon for passing guards to ask if someone has "stolen your sweet roll". While the question is not pleasant, not all individuals in Skyrim are as capable as the Dragonborn.
These pastries can also be found in numerous dungeons and tombs, however, it is not recommended to consume them. If the smell of draugrs doesn't put off an appetite, the mere thought of a centuries old forgotten pastry should. Consume with caution.
