The fisherman kept fishing, and when he had caught his daily fish he headed back to the shack and kissed his wife.

“You’ll never believe what happened to me,” he said.

“What?” she asked, taking the fish and putting them in a pan to cook for supper.

“I caught a talking flounder who begged me not to eat him because he was really a prince in disguise!”

“What?!” the old woman exclaimed. “And you let him go? Without even asking for anything?”

“Well, yes,” the old man replied. “I didn’t even think of asking for anything. I mean, we are pretty happy here, aren’t we?

“Well, I suppose,” said his wife. “But just think of how nice it would be if we had a little bit bigger house? Why don’t you go back down and call the flounder, and ask him if he will grant us a wish?”
