
Venture into the Zone
About
In 2006, an explosion happened in the middle of the infamous Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Resulting in creating dangerous anomalies, lethal level of radiation, and horrifying mutants to the surrounding areas of Chernobyl. This incident cause the military to deem the area unsafe to the public and block it off from the rest of the world, calling the area around Chernobyl as The Zone. However, it does not stop those who are curious about the Zone and will encourage those who are brave enough to tresspass and venture into the Zone. These trespasser would later be known as Stalkers; a backronym for Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventures, Loners, Killers, Explorers, and Robbers. Many Stalkers that venture into the Zone have lost their lives to mysterious anomalies and dangerous mutants in the early days of the Zone's creation. However, the one thing they found is a rare item that can defy the laws of physics called Artifacts, special items that is created by the Zone itself. This discovery results many to sell these rare items at high prices to the outside world and encourage many different kinds of people to become Stalkers to gain those riches.
Many years later, different factions would be created with each having their own goals in the Zone. The first being the Loners, free Stalkers who are not part of any other factions within the Zone. They're only goal in mind is to find rare artifacts and earn the riches from it, while being rivals towards the bandit faction. Next are the Duty and Freedom faction, both considered each other as enemies due to different ideologies regarding the Zone. Duty sees the Zone as an abomination and wish to seek to destroy it, along with the mutants and anomalies it created. Freedom sees the Zone as scientific marvel and free life, wishing to fight for free access to the Zone. Ecologists and Clear Sky faction seeks to study and understand the strange nature of the Zone. Mercenary faction entering the Zone from contract jobs. Bandit faction robbing and bribing any unfortunate Stalkers that come into contact with them. Military faction seeking to gain control of the Zone. Finally, the mysterious Monolith faction that guard the center of the Zone where Chernobyl is located at. What they are guard is rumor to be a special anomaly known as the Wish Granter, a device that grants wishes to those who are worthy enough to reach its resting place at the center of Zone.

Loner faction

Duty faction

- Find the way to destroy the Zone
- Hunt and exterminate mutants
- Enemy to Freedom, Military, Mercenary, Bandit, and Monolith factions
- Neutral to Ecologists, Clear Sky, and Loners factions
- Access to Warsaw pact weapons
- Offer extra gear benefits to help you survive the Zone
Freedom faction

- Make the Zone accessible for everyone from the outside world
- Chill at the Zone I guess...
- You will be called a hipster by other factions
- Enemy to Duty, Military, and Monolith factions
- Neutral to Mercenary, Ecologists, Loners, Clear Sky, and Bandit factions
- Access to Nato weapons
- Offer extra gear benefits to help you survive the Zone
Merenary faction

- Do contract jobs, get paid
- Enemy to Duty, Military, Loners, and Monolith factions
- Neutral to Freedom, Ecologists, Bandit, and Clear Sky factions
- Access to Nato weapons
- No extra gear benefits, you come to the Zone with what you have
Bandit faction

- Bribe and rob other Stalkers, specifically those from the Loner faction
- Enemy to Loners, Clear Sky, Duty, Military, Ecologists, and Monolith factions
- Neutral to Freedom and Mercenary factions
- No extra gear benefits, just rob other Stalkers
Ecologist faction

- Study and understand the Zone and its anomalies
- Depends on other factions for protection from mutants and bandits
- Enemy to Bandits and Monolith factions
- Neutral to factions that are not bandits and monolith fanatics
- Access to advance medical items
- Extra Gear benefits to help you survive the Zone
Clear Sky faction

- Study and understand the Zone, much like the Ecologist
- Unlike Ecologist, you actually have your own fighting force
- Enemy to Bandits, Military, and Monolith factions
- Neutral to Loners, Duty, Freedom, Mercenary, and Ecologist factions
- Access to Nato weapons
- Extra gear benefits to help you survive the Zone
Military faction

- Drive other factions out of the Zone and secure it
- Prevent any other Stalkers from enter or leaving the Zone
- Enemy to Loners, Duty, Freedom, Mercenary, Bandits, Clear Sky, and Monolith factions
- Neutral to Ecologist faction
- Receive air support
- Access to Warsaw pact weapons
- Standard issue military gear
Monolith faction

- Pray to the Holy Monolith and drive other factions out of the Zone
- You are a brainwash fanatic that pray to a glowing rock
- Every faction that is not Monolith is your enemy
- Access to both Warsaw pact and Nato weapons
- Access to a stockpile of railguns
- Extra gear benefits to help you protect the center of the Zone
