Dr. Emma Russel and her Daughter Madison witness birth of Mothra but are soon kidnapped by Eco-terrorist Alan Jonah who plans on using the ORCA in Emma's possession to release King Ghidorah.
Castle Bravo, Bermuda
Monarch scientists recruit Emma's ex-husband Dr. Mark Russel to find the ORCA and his family. He has an encounter with Godzilla before heading to Antartica where they King Ghidorah is Frozen
Antartica
The monarch scientists and Mark arrive to Antartica only to find that Emma is now siding with Alan Jonah and releases King Ghidorah of her own will. Before King Ghidorah is able to destroy the entire base, Godzilla comes to fight but is outmatched. Emma and Alan along with Madison go to Isla de Mara, Mexico to release the next titan.
Isla de Mona, Mexico
Rodan is released and is subdued by King Ghidorah. Monarch scientists and Mark follow Godzilla to Isla de Mara. The US Military detonates the oxygen destroyer to kill Godzilla and Ghidorah. But only Godzilla is injured, King Ghidorah has regenerative abilities. Godzilla returns to his lair in the ocean and his healed when Dr. Serizawa detonates a nuclear bomb near him.
New York City, USA
Godzilla and King Ghidorah fight to see who is truly the King of the Monsters. Rodan tries to meddle in the fight but is stopped by mothra. While Godzilla is knocked down, King Ghidorah chases after Emma and her family. She uses the ORCA to distract King Ghidorah so Godzilla can get up and her family can escape but dies in the process. Godzilla, now in his burning form, burns King Ghidorah to a crisp. All monsters from around the world come and bow to him.
