iBook Project
For this project you will create an e-book for the Apple iBook format using the iBook Author software. Your book will have two chapters. The content of the first chapter can be taken from either your own previous work or from a published book or article. In either case, you will modify and supplement the contents in order to exploit the differences between the mediums of print and e-books. Chapter 1 should be 8 to 12 pages in length. Chapter 2 will consist of short essay (800 to 1000 words) describing your experience with the iBook medium. Explain how and why you modified the content. Also, describe the differences and similarities that you discovered between this medium and print. This chapter should also be designed with the iBook in mind.
Your iBook should include:
- A cover design
- At least one image for every two pages of content. (This includes chapter 2)
- At least 3 internal links
- At least 2 external links
- At least 1 multimedia element
You may (upon approval) substitute elements other than those on this list if you believe that they are better suited to adapt your content to the iBook medium. The amount of material should be about the same. Any substitutions should be explained in the second chapter of the book.
