The game I chose to analyze for this group project is Reptilian Neolettrist Graphics by Besteffans@arras.com. The story is titled “The Dream life of Letters” is about a literature piece done by writers about sexuality and gender. The site is a streamline of words dancing around the stage that I can’t seem to understand fully. All words point towards sexuality and gender and dance around the site in a tantalizing manner. I assumed this is a way to expound on the complexities of sexuality and gender. -Jocelyn Gallaher

Ask me for the Moon is an experimental piece by John David Zuern, which works with animation and hyperlinking to create a form of poetry. The aesthetic of this piece is what really what catches your attention. The use of overlapping text is paired with flowing phrases, moving you through the message. It describes the surrounding environment of Hawaii through words and imagery. The page is black, with accent colors of gray, white, and turquoise. It is quite a simple concept overall, the message is simple and short. -Oliver Hiatt

The Sweet Old Etcetera, by E.E Cummings, is a web page that uses user interaction to connect the reader with story creation. Though interaction is limited to clicking text/symbols on screen, it still makes the most of this ability to make the user feel as though they are a part of the story. It also uses fluid movements of what is most often seen as still on screen (text) to surprise the user and lead their eyes across the page, thus following the story. This creator uniquely uses their skills to aid the user in following along with the story, and feel immersed.-Annaliese Sanders

Yardley is a poem reminiscing about past lives lived as children and how the wonder of the world slowly vanishes as time progresses onward, taking us along with it regardless of our temperament against it. The poem reminds themselves of memories created in secret rooms, bruises from tackles playing football as children, and catching fireflies that leave hands sticky with light.

I think this story reflects how as humans we are compelled to try and hold onto the salad days of life, with white, bare knuckles raw and flushed red faces in the same way our minds attempt to hold onto fleeting thoughts that will seldom return.-Sean Juego.
