WEEK 6: AI Cinema: Effects
(February 24)

To Do This Week

Catch up with past work!

Work on your story for the AI project and research the style you are going for. Message me if you need help. You should have 5-20 “shots” described, depending on what you are doing and how long the shots are for about a 1 minute short. You should also play with Vizcom, Midjourney of Dall-e to generate image and styles for your production. Build the world for your story.

Make sure you have a RunwayML account with your wsu email.

Blog Post: Post your shot list and some of your style reference images and describe in 2-3 sentences what you are idea/story is.

  • A 200-300-word summary of the story or idea for your project.
  • A description of the visual style you aim to achieve, referencing directors, genres, specific films, or qualities like film stocks, cameras, lighting, color/BW, production design, sets, and costumes.

Due Tuesday, February 27

Create a 30-second video made of generative AI video clips or a mix of generative AI and your own video footage. The video should be either a narrative or a montage sequence with a connecting theme or central idea. Experiment with techniques to achieve your desired look. You may also use AI sound tools for music, effects, and narration.
