You are sitting on the floor of your bedroom.
Cool, wooden floors meet your bare feet.
The faint scent of a candle you had been burning earlier still lingers in the air.
You check your phone, it's 2:17am
You are holding a paint brush in your right hand, leaning away from the canvas in front of you to scrutinize it.
The [light blue paint]<1| you found was so pretty, you thought.(click-goto: ?1, "eyelids")
<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/8.jpg" width="715" height="900">
Let's [continue.]<1| (click-goto: ?1, "haveyou")
<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/10.jpg" width="715" height="900">
Really! Are you //sure?//
//Real// art, I mean.
It is so //very// hard to come by these days.
And //very// few get to experience it!
Maybe you have just seen some "self expression" that also happens to be [//beautiful.//]<1|(click-goto:?1,"showart")
<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/10.jpg" width="715" height="900">
Surely, I didn't think you had, really.
So few of us do.
It's such a rare phenonmenon!
Of course, so many try but fall short of
what really exemplifies [art.]<1|(click-goto:?1,"showart")
<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/11.jpg" width="715" height="900">
Nevertheless, I will show you some [today.]<1| (click-goto: ?1, "today")
<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/13.jpg" width="715" height="900">
I know!
When I look back at history,
I am blown away by the waste of energy on non essential art making.
[Non essential?]<1| (click-goto: ?1, "nonessential")<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/13.jpg" width="715" height="900">
Ah, why of course it //sounds// wrong!
But it isn't.
It's completely right actually.
We can even check my [truthiness sound wave monitor.]<1| (click-goto: ?1, "monitor")
It constantly measures the length of the wave for it's alignment
with objective reality.
It's pretty great.<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/14.jpg" width="715" height="900">
Yep, see.
[//All truth.//]<1|(click-goto:?1,"truth")
<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/15.jpg" width="715" height="900">
Anyways. Yes.
It might sound wrong, but we've know this for a long time now.
Hundreds of thousands of beings have known this truth about art now
since we discovered it and not one has questioned it!
That's another characteristic of truth.
If no one is questioning it, [it's definitely true.]<1|(click-goto:?1, "past")
<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/14.jpg" width="715" height="900">
Yes, [non essential creating.]<1|(click-goto:?1,"past")
<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/16.jpg" width="715" height="900">
You see in the past, beings would just create nonsense all the time, all on their own!
They did this with no direction or supervision or formal training.
It sounds terrifying, honestly.
The chaos they must have lived in.
I [//shudder//]<1| at the thought.(click-goto:?1,"shudder")
<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/18.jpg" width="715" height="900">
Most of the time we don't! So that's completely understandable.
Ah yes.
We were going to [look at art.]<1|(click-goto: ?1,"thisway")<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/18.jpg" width="715" height="900">
Ah yes, [art!]<1|(click-goto: ?1, "thisway")<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/19.jpg" width="715" height="900">
Right this way!
I followed, walking along a dim corridor as we spoke
Can you believe we have ten pieces of art?
[Is that supposed to be a lot of art?]<2|(click-goto: ?2,"sowhat")
[Wow, ten?]<1|(click-goto: ?1,"wow")
<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/20.jpg" width="715" height="900">
[I know!]<1|(click-goto: ?1,"excited")<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/20.jpg" width="715" height="900">
I understand your skepticism.
But of course it is //quite// a lot of art!
[Just wait until you see it.]<1|(click-goto: ?1,"excited")<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/21.jpg" width="715" height="900">
I'm so excited to experience it with you! This will be my third time!
I know, don't say it, I really shouldn't brag like that.
I am so lucky to have witnessed real art as many times as I have. Twice already in my lifetime! So few of us get to see it even once. I am so honored. A third time will be fantastic.
I know you're here because you've been properly trained.
That's great. I can't wait.
Are you as excited as I am?
[Excited to see ten pieces of art and your perceived objective truth about them?]<1|(click-goto: ?1,"intensestudy")
I can't say excited is quite the right word.
<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/23.jpg" width="715" height="900">
Why of //course// your reaction to art can be right or wrong!
I know it because I've //seen// [wrong art.]<1|(click-goto: ?1,"wrongart")
<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/23.jpg" width="715" height="900">
Well, the //right// things about art that are objectively true about it!
There's only a few, and everything subjective of course, is wrong.
I would be so embarrassed if I said something wrong about art.
or even worse, //felt// a wrong thing about art.
//So embarrassing//.
Thank [truth]<1|(click-goto: ?1,"iveseen") we don't have to do that anymore.

Well,
I suppose if more people decided to dedicate themselves to the practice of 'how to appreciate art' more could experience it. But it is very time consuming, it takes years of intense study to to prepare to experience art //properly//.
I'm so glad I learned the //right// things to say about art.

I made it myself, a long time ago.
You see, when I was young I wanted to become an art maker.
So I attempted it and discovered that what I made was bad!
So I stopped immediately, because I am no [fool.]<1| (click-goto:?1,"fool")
<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/26.jpg" width="715" height="900">
You see,
I don't keep doing anything I'm not good at immediately. I am //wise// like that.
It's not like I could get any better with practice!
Hmm. Have you ever heard the phrase [practice makes perfect?]<1|(click-goto:?1,"practice")
<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/27.jpg" width="715" height="900">
Ha! Practice makes perfect. That's //truly// hilarious. What a funny concept. Practice - absurd!
Anyways, I stopped making art once it turned bad, and have stuck with //appreciating// it ever sense. I am quite content to never create a single thing myself ever again. That's what we have the masters for! Isn't that fantastic?
Once it //turned// bad? So it was good at one point?
Well, I did make a few things that seemed promising.
I had a lot of fun making them too.
Actually, now that I recall, some of those compositions [//were// beautiful.]<1| (click-goto:?1,"fluke")
<img src="https://dtc-wsuv.org/yum20/scene/28.jpg" width="715" height="900">
