Ingredients Needed

  • 12 Lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 24 oz Tomato sauce
  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper

Steps

  • STEP 1
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

    In a frying pan, brown the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.

    Stir in the tomato sauce, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

    In a separate bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, and some Parmesan cheese.

    Layer the lasagna: Start with a layer of noodles, followed by the meat sauce, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers.

    Top with a final layer of noodles, meat sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.

    Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes until the lasagna is bubbling and golden.
