As I began my research with water, I was always curious about the full moon (which is so far away) and its ability to move and churn up the vastness of the dark oceans. I've also heard that when there are full moons more people get arrested on those nights more than any other night. I wondered if there could be a possible correlation between the amount of water in humans, versus the water on the Earth. As I remember from grade school, water makes up around seventy percent of the Earth, and humans are composed of about seventy-two percent. Could it be that there is a connection with the luna, churning up the water in us as well? I know that I've spent many restless night's during a full moon, kicking my Greek-styled, heavy comforter off as I tossed and turned in bed. I found a quote from an article in the Scientific American it is a stanza penned by the great William Shakespear, found in Othello. The stanza reads, "It is the very error of the moon. She comes more near the earth than she has wont. And makes men mad."

As I was realizing this possibile theory, it made me think of something that would be able to show people that we are all connected, and what happens to the Earth, happens to us as well. The Earth in all of it's diversity, simply doesn't care if I for one, believe it. Yet, it is true.

Although I could show everyone innumerable charts, and scientist's to prove my point, there will still be other research, and scientists to thwart my opinions. Well into the night, as I sat at my desk, in a very uncomfortable burgundy chair, an idea shot through my brain in a flash. You see, I had seen a mysterious piece of art, at a favorite haunt that I used to occasionally frequent (but that is a tale for another time). I remember asking the owner, a big, and amicable man, 'what is this extraordinary piece of art.' He abruptly asked me, "which piece?" I told him that I was curious about the glass sphere that had water, air, and a dead plant in it. My friend swiftly stated, "it is a biosphere.

It was, in fact, a perfectly self-contained orb. If one thought about it, than they could make a parellel between the Earth, and the orb. The two things wI was completely stunned. The glass formed sphere was totally solid, it was completely self-contained. You see, the most amazing thing was, that at one time it had oxygen in it that fed the aquatic life, and the aquatic life put carbon dioxide into the air, from inhaling the oxygen, while it and it fed on the plant. The plant was fed by the carbon dioxide from the fish, and at the same time, the plant was also slowly decomposing which put more carbon dioxide into the air, as well. The plant that was also eaten by the fish, in turn led to the fish's excremente into the water, which also fed the plant.

I tell you, it completely lit up my thoughts as I could see exactly the same thing going on with the Earth. By this small example, that anyone could pick up, one could see how everything on the Earth was connected. The biosphere clearly, spoke volume, if only one were to look at how it,shall I say, behaved.

Coral Reefs are experiencing massive die-offs. The current carbon spike has caused ocean acidification to rise 25% over the past 200 years, resulting in the death of 19% of the world’s reefs. If nothing is done to substantially cut emissions, we could lose coral reefs as we know them within 100 years.

All of this research has opened my eyes, to the very real destruction of the Earth. My hope, is that it opens your's as well.
