Blackbird Project

The goal of this project was to create a site that was about Wallace Steven's poem 13 Ways of Looking at a Blackbird. I chose to make a page that had a fixed header, and when you had scrolled to the bottom of the page, the bio section for Wallace Stevens would scroll up over the header. Other design choices I made were to have simplistic colors and have a blackbird silhouette in the background of every stanza.

Recipe Project

For this project the class was instructed to make a webpage that gave instructions for a recipe. I chose to make my website on Omelet Pancakes. I went for a simple design with a simple color palate. This was also the first responsive design project for the class. With smaller screen sizes, the columns of content would move depending on the width of the screen.

Sequential Project

The Sequential Project was for the class to make a webpage for any topic they like as long as there was some sort of sequence of events. We were given options on what kind of site it would be. It could be scroll based or page based. I chose to use Skrollr to make a scroll based webpage about a band. It took a long time to understand how to use Skrollr, but I eventually learned how and had fun using it. This page is also responsive.
