On February 1st 2796, the Colony was fully built and created. Thanks to this early completion, colonists have been able to move in one week ahead of time. The Conglomerate has been noticeably eager to begin mining operations on the planet due to its large amounts of natural resources essential to human survival. Reports indicate an abundance in iron ore, a resource in heavy demand by Earth governments. Many are hoping that this will bring an economic boom but analysts are skeptical of the possibility. In other news, Officer Michael Davis was recently chosen to be head of security. Many in the colony are happy with the choice. Michael Davis has served the Conglomerate for the past 15 years, his vast experience will be a natural asset to the Colony. Director Hammond has announced that mining operations are to begin in a week. The Director has requested that all high level staff meet with him as soon as possible and has announced that going forward, there will be a high degree of transparency on what goes on throughout the Colony.
Attention colonists, our long range communications has just been attacked. Please return to your designated housing areas and await further instructions. Make sure you lock your doors and do not let anyone into your designated housing areas unless they are security personnel.
Earlier today, miners discovered a life form in one of the caves deep below the planet. Researchers quickly entered the area and have restricted any and all access unless authorized by the Director himself. Many are frustrated as they are unable to continue work for the time being. Colonists have also requested additional information but the Director has been extremely vague in all of his answers. Much of the security staff has been left frustrated as the Chief Officer has been ordered not to approach the research area but for now these are merely rumors.
Attention, a fellow colonist has gone missing. He was last seen in the bathrooms in the medical wing, where he never came out. If you hear any loud noises in the vents or if you sight any suspicious behavior, please report it immediately. Thank you.
