Web Developer (Vancouver)

compensation: DOE

Key Responsibilities
Help to architect solutions and implement new and exciting features to our various platforms.
Bring fresh ideas on how technology can be used to solve big problems.
Produce high quality code

Requirements
Strong background in PHP and understanding of MVC as well as service-oriented architectures
Advanced knowledge of MySQL – Knowledge of RedShift and DynamoDB is a plus
Understanding of JavaScript and AJAX — Angular.js experience is a plus.
Ability to write clean standards-compliant HTML and CSS using common techniques and libraries such as Bootstrap
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work Individually as well as in a team

Additional Helpful Items
Familiarity with Git version control system
Knowledge of Linux or other Unix-based systems (Ubuntu/Debian is a plus)
Experience with Web Services based on REST
Experience building highly available web applications
Experience with AWS Web Services
Past experience with automated testing processes
Broad technical knowledge — we look for people who can tie together technologies to solve really big problems

Graphic Designer (Vancouver)

 Our growing team is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer for our design department. The selected candidate will be working with a variety of mediums including online advertising, UX/UI, print design, packaging, and website design/maintenance. Ideal Candidate will be required to work independently while achieving the best possible result as well as assisting the Lead Designer and fulfill all the necessary tasks assigned. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must.
Essential Job Functions:
Create images that identify a product or convey a message set for a project
Efficient prioritization of projects and organizational skills
Effectively meet deadlines in a sometimes fast-paced work environment
Gather information accurately and in a timely manner
Work well independently and be self-motivated
Create designs either by hand or using computer software packages
Assist lead designer on a per need basis
Creativity and an excellent eye for design and excellent attention to detail
Meet and strive to increase productivity standards

Job Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of professional graphic design experience
Applicant must be local and will need to work on site
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of Sketch preferred
Strong information seeking-skills and a drive to get things done
Ability to be a team player and build positive working relationships
Strong understanding of graphic design, layout and typography.
Ability to develop strategies for layouts and artistic concepts and create visual images that engage, attract and sell concepts

Compensation:
This is a full time position with full health benefits.
