The CMDC Program opened Nouspace Gallery & Media Lounge, on September 4, 2012. It is located at inside the gallery space of North Bank Artists Gallery. Directed by CMDC faculty member Dene Grigar and managed by CMDC Senior Amalia Vacca, Nouspace features multimedia art.
Students in the CMDC Program interested in digital media have the opportunity to learn how to curate exhibits and are encouraged to curate shows of their own. They are also trained to docent exhibits and have in the past traveled to Washington D.C.; Boston, MA; Victoria, B.C.; Seattle, WA; and Morgantown, WV to participate as docents. Spring 2014 will see several students traveling to Chicago, IL as docents to assist with exhibits faculty are curating.
