30th Anniversary Celebration of Michael Joyce's afternoon, a story
hosted by the Electronic Literature Lab at Washington State University Vancouver

Join us at "An Afternoon with afternoon," a live group virtual Reading via Zoom and online exhibition celebrating the 30th anniversary of Michael Joyce's hypertext novel, afternoon: a story, hosted by the Electronic Literature Lab and taking place during the ELO 2020 virtual conference. The live group virtual Reading involves 10 scholars and artists with close personal and/or scholarly connections with Michael and his novel, each performing for a 5-minute session. Audience members can share their stories and thoughts about the work in Zoom's Live Chat. Following the Readings, Michael will participate in a Q&A where he will talk about afternoon, a story, its development, and its place in literary history. The online exhibition features commentary and images of 11 editions of afternoon, a story.
