The goal for this project was to create a site that combines writing with integrated multimedia in a well-designed, functional and responsive website. I chose to do my project on the Alcatraz escape because it the mystery fascinated me since I was little. I visited the island multiple times in the past, and the history behind it is super intersting. I chose the escape specifically because it is the most memorable escape attempt in Alcatraz history. For the theme, I wanted to creat a cohesiveness with the color and imagery I used. I chose to go with colors like dark blue, beige, black, and white. For font, I chose Helvetica and Special Elite. I chose Helvetica because of its importance for mondernism in the 60's, and Special Elite because it delivers a sense of mystery.
