Day 8 - Thursday, March 19, 2020

Not much has changed since yesterday around here. We have been watching a ton of baking/cooking shows and now all me and my sisters want to do is make the things that are on the shows! It is unfortunate that we are trying to limit ourselves from going to the grocery store, so we are unable to try them.

Today, Governor Inslee announced that he is halting elective surgeries and dental services to allow that equipment to go to the healthcare workers who are on the frontlines.

Day 9 - Friday, March 20, 2020

I once again just watch television and played games with my sisters. It is sad outside with all the rain and it makes it so that it feels even more weird. I know I always said that I didn't want to go anywhere..but now I just feel trapped. We also went to Safeway tonight. There was no one there. When we got home, I re-organized the pantry.

Today, Governor Inslee announced that 1.6 million N95 masks along with hundreds of thousands of surgical masks, disposable gowns, and disposable gloves will be dispursed over the weekend to hospitals around the state. It is refreshing to hear that the healthcare workers are starting to be taken more seriously.

Day 10 - Saturday, March 21, 2020

Today was my Aunts 50th Birthday. We went to her house and celebrated at her house with her. We kept our hands clean and away from our faces. It was nice to get out of the house for a few hours.

Today, Governor Inslee tweeted that N95 masks were being sold in a Target store in Seattle. He stated that him and his team stepped in and that the masks are now on their way to the healthcare workers.

Day 11 - Sunday, March 22, 2020

Once again, we stayed in and watched television. We did not play any games. There is only so many times a person can play Monopoly or Scattergories in a few weeks.

Governor Inslee announced that he named ret. Navy Vice Admiral Raquel C. Bono the Washington state director for the COVID-19 health system response management.

Day 12 - Monday, March 23, 2020

School started back up today over Zoom. It is definitely going to take some adjustments to being home and being in class like this all the time.

Governor Inslee officially ordered a 'Stay Home, Stay Healthy' order today. It goes into effect on March 25th at 5pm. It seems crazy that this is just now going into effect, but at least it is happening.

I watched some more television today, as well as worked on homework. Not much to report on in my life today.

Today Governor Inslee tweeted out an article that talked about how Kaas Tailoring, a Mukilteo furniture maker, has started to make masks. They are engaging in what is called the '100 Million Mask Challenege' where they are making masks for those who need them.

Day 14 - Wednesday, March 25, 2020

My mother had her first staff meeting over Zoom today. It is silly to see me and her dressed presentable on the top half of our body, with our bottom halves still in our pajamas!

Not much news about the virus. Governor Inslee just retweeted an article that clarifies what is considered an essential business and what is not.
